Contra-indicated in pregnancy, with concurrent use of simvastatin or lovastatin and CYP3A substrates with narrow therapeutic range or long-term corticosteroid use, and in women with a history of unexplained vaginal bleeding or with endometrial hyperplasia with atypia or endometrial carcinoma.
