About Dr Litt

Jerome Z. Litt , MD, was Assistant Clinical Professor of Dermatology at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine in Cleveland, Ohio. He was also an Honorary Member of the American Academy of Dermatology and is Associate Visiting Dermatologist at Cleveland Metropolitan General Hospital.

For more than two decades, Dr Litt wrote extensively about drug reactions and was the Editor of the Drug Eruption Reference Manual. New editions of this widely acclaimed book, much beloved by dermatologists, are now created out of this very database (the Litt's Drug Eruption & Reaction Database), updated weekly.

In February 2008, Dr Litt was awarded an Honorary Membership by the American Academy of Dermatology for his lifetime dedication and distinguished service to the Academy and its mission.

Dr Litt published more than 40 articles in scientific journals dealing with diseases of the skin. These references describe the various reactions and interactions that can result from taking any of hundreds of over-the-counter and prescription medications.

Dr Litt also appeared as a guest on more than 1200 radio and TV shows, including those of Oprah Winfrey, Regis Philbin, Sally Jessy Raphael, and other popular hosts, discussing dermatological problems.
