Bumetanide is a sulfonamide and can be absorbed systemically. Sulfonamides can produce severe, possibly fatal, reactions such as toxic epidermal necrolysis and Stevens-Johnson syndrome

- INDICATIONS: Edema associated with congestive heart failure
- CLASS: Diuretic, loop, Sulfonamide
- HALF-LIFE: 1–1.5 hours
- CLINICALLY IMPORTANT, POTENTIALLY HAZARDOUS INTERACTIONS WITH:
Amikacin, Aminoglycosides, Digoxin, Gentamicin, Kanamycin, Neomycin, Streptomycin, Tobramycin
